Chemical composition of a fuel (by mass percentage) - Caroline - 04-12-2018

Hello,

I am doing a project in which I have to calculate the mass balance at every step of a air pollution control system.  At one point, the product (a solid powder), is being dried by a kiln, which is fired with low-sulfur fuel oil.  The fuel oil composition is 88% C, 11.7% H, and 0.3% Sulfur.  I'm having trouble figuring out what the chemical structure would be, which I need to know so I know the stoichiometry of the combustion reaction that's occurring so i know how much O2 is being used and how much water and CO2 and SO2 is being created.  if you could help show me the steps to figuring out the chemical structure, and then what equations you would use for the reactions, I would be very grateful!!
