I am not at all sure about how to go about this problem, if someone could show me how it is done I would really appreciate it.

The two ingediants I am given are:

Solution of tris at 2 percent (m/V) (tris has a molar mass of 121.1 g/mol)

Solution of HCl at 1M

I am then asked to:

Calculate the number of moles and the mass of tris base necessary to realize 100 mL of solution. Calculate the corresponding volume using the solution of 2 percent. Calculate the molar volume of chlorohydric acid necessary to obtain a pH of 8.

All of this is supposed to be in preparation for an experiment, the next step is to:

In a measuring vial, pour the adequate volume of tris 2 percent, then that of HCL 1M, and finally complete with the quantity of water sufficient for 100mL.
